Hayleigh Galvan

Hayleigh Galvan enters her second season on the Northeastern State softball coach staff.

Galvan joined the program with head coach Rachel Rhode as a graduate assistant, serving in her first season in the role in 2024. Galvan played a key role in developing the roster, which saw its individual highlights being led by Maddie Messenger, who was the first true freshman to earn an All-MIAA selection in the program since 2021, receiving Honorable Mention honors.

She spent the 2023 season at Northwestern Oklahoma in Alva, Okla., where she served as an assistant on the staff and coached two All-GAC selections.

Galvan spent the majority of her playing career at Fresno State (2018-21), where she played in 177 games, starting 168 across her time with the Bulldogs. She was an immediate impact player as a sophomore, claiming a .372 batting average and recording 21 extra-base hits across 51 total hits during the 2018 season.

She would go on to hit a career-best ten home runs during the 2019 season and finished her Fresno State career with a .329 batting average over her four seasons with the Bulldogs, earning two All-Mountain West honors, including a First-Team selection in 2018, and two All-NFCA All-Region nods, including a Second-Team mention in 2019.

She appeared in 43 games with four starts at Oklahoma State as a freshman in 2017. Galvan spent her high school playing days in the state of Oklahoma, where she starred at Sequoyah HS, lettering all four years and earning Team MVP nods in 2015 and 2016 and three All-Phoenix Team selections (2013-15).
