Lacey Middlebrooks

The 2016 season is the second for Lacey Middlebrooks as a graduate assistant with the NSU softball program. She coaches the pitching staff.
 
She came to Northeastern State after serving as the pitching coach at the University of Buffalo for the 2013-14 season. The team finished 30-22 in her lone season at UB, which was the most successful victories in program history. Middlebrooks’ pitching staff finished with a team ERA of 2.92.
 
Prior to her time at Buffalo, Middlebrooks played three years on the University of Tulsa softball team. She was an NFCA Midwest Region First Team Selection and the Conference USA Co-Pitcher of the Year during her junior season at Tulsa. She finished the campaign with a 20-6 record, a 2.15 ERA and 146 strikeouts. Middlebrooks was just as dominant at the plate, hitting .306 with 38 runs batted in and five home runs.
 
Middlebrooks played the final three seasons of her career at Tulsa after playing her freshman season at the University of Minnesota where she had a 2.52 ERA with 165 strikeouts. She finished her career at Tulsa in the top 10 in career wins, saves, complete games, shutouts, and innings pitched.
 
Middlebrooks is working towards a Master of Science in health and kinesiology at Northeastern State. She received her Bachelor of Art degree in communications with a minor in advertising from the University of Tulsa in 2013.
