Macy Taylor enters her first season as an assistant on the Northeastern State softball staff. Taylor comes to Tahlequah in 2024 after working at Performance 440 in North Canton, Ohio, where she was a hitting and speed and agility coach.
She previously graduated from Truman State University, where she played softball and was a team captain for the majority of her time with the program. She finished her playing career strong in 2023, posting a career-best .302 batting average alongside 32 base hits and 12 RBI. Taylor was a force on the base paths, as well, logging 38 steals across her collegiate career, including 20 in her concluding season.
Before attending Truman, Taylor was a four-year starter at Elyria High School, where she helped lead her team to a Division 1 state championship in 2017. While at Elyria, she was an All-Ohio outfielder/slapper, while additionally breaking the school's stolen bases record.
Taylor is a certified exercise physiologist through ACSM. She attained her B.S. in Exercise Science with a concentration in strength and conditioning in 2023, also graduating with a B.S. in Psychology.Â
