Makenzi Dallas is serving as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 season.
Dallas joins the RiverHawks staff after having served as the graduate assistant at the University of Nebraska Kearney for the 2016-2017 softball season.
Dallas began her playing career as a catcher for Phoenix College (Ariz.), where she was a part of a NJCAA Div. II national championship in 2012 (redshirt year), and helped lead PC to 98 wins as national runners up (2013) and regional runners up (2014). During the 2012 and 2013 seasons, PC also set records for batting average, runs scored, homeruns, and RBI’s.
Dallas transferred to the University of Nebraska Kearney as a starting third baseman for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. She was an MIAA Academic All-American both years, and was on the MIAA honorable mention team in 2016, finishing the season .333 with seven doubles, seven homeruns, and 38 RBI’s. Drawing 15 walks, she batted second in the lineup and had a Loper-best 73 assists in the field.
Dallas graduated from UNK in 2016 with her Bachelor’s in Psychology and minor in coaching, and is now completing her Master’s in Student Affairs through Nebraska-Kearney’s online program.
