The 2017 season is the sixth for Ryan Rains on the NSU softball coaching staff. His primary responsibilities including serving as the recruiting coordinator, while providing infield and hitting instruction.
Rains hails from Pryor, Oklahoma, and is a graduate of Pryor High School where he played baseball and was a member of the 1992 All-State team. He later attended Oklahoma City University where he graduated in 1996 with a degree in finance. While attending OCU, he was a four year scholarship athlete in baseball.
Rains has 16 years experience providing softball and baseball hitting instruction. He currently manages a competitive softball organization coaching, developing, and training amateur athletes.Â
