Shelbi Bowin is in her first year as a volunteer student coach for the RiverHawks. Her primary coaching responsibilities include infield and hitting instruction.
Bowin is a Tahlequah native who transitioned from Tahlequah High School to a four year softball career at Northeastern State. In her time as a RiverHawk, Shelbi was a four year starter at shortstop, and was named to Lone Star All Conference team as a sophomore. She served as team captain her junior and senior year and was selected as the softball team s representative on the NSU SAAC committee.
Shelbi is pursuing her bachelor’s from NSU and will be attending veterinary school in the fall of 2013.
