Northeastern State, 1999 - 11th Year
Matt Cole is serving in his 11th year at Northeastern State as a women’s basketball assistant coach, working primarily with the forwards on the roster.
Cole has coached two All-Americans, one MIAA Player of the Year, two LSC Players of the Year and many All-Conference players during his tenure at Northeastern State. Jasmine Webb, an NSU forward mentored by Cole, was awarded with 2011 WBCA/State Farm First Team All-American honors.
In addition to coaching forwards Cole serves as the primary scout and recruiter for the RiverHawks.
Prior to his career at Northeastern State, Cole was an assistant coach for Cowley College in Arkansas City, Kan., from 2000-03. During his tenure at CC, Cole’s teams combined to post an 81-14 mark.
He received his masters degree in collegiate services and college teaching from Northeastern State, and he also earned his bachelor’s degree in health and human performance at NSU.
Cole resides in Tahlequah with his wife, Lolly, and two children, Cael (6) and Waverly (3).
