Shayla Kohler enters her second season on the Northeastern State women's basketball coaching staff.
Kohler's first season in the collegiate coaching ranks saw her contribute to a staff that guided NSU to their best season in over a decade for the 2023-24 campaign. The 14-win RiverHawks claimed their most victories since the 2012-13 season, with their twelve home wins being their most since the 2011-12 season. Kohler coached two All-MIAA players in Halie Jones and Courtney Lee, while also assisting in many of the day-to-day operations of the program throughout the season.
Previously, she spent her playing career at Pittsburg State (2019-23), where she was a member of the MIAA Honor Roll. Kohler was an All-Conference selection for basketball at Platte County High School and additionally played softball for the Pirates.Â
