Northeastern State University Athletics

Ryan Watson

Watson is in his second season as a graduate assistant with the NSU women's soccer program.

In his first campaign, he helped lead the RiverHawks to the MIAA Quarterfinals and a runner-up finish in the regular season. Northeastern State set school records for most wins (15), fewest losses (4) and fewest goals allowed (14).

He came to Tahlequah after serving as the head boy's soccer coach at Captain Shreve High School from 2011-12. He was also the assistant coach from 2007-10. The school won four district titles and had one runner-up finish at the state tournament (2009) during his six years with the program.

Watson graduated from Division I Centenary College in December 2011 with a bachelor of science degree in health and exercise science. He was a member of the men's soccer team and competed in 36 contests during his career.

The Shreveport, La., native is working towards a master of science degree in kinesiology at Northeastern State.
