SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Fort Hays State is 5-1 overall and 1-0 in the MIAA this season. The Tigers have defeated Sioux Falls, Colorado Mesa, South Dakota School of Mines, Colorado Christian, and Southern Nazarene. Their only blemish was to No. 13 West Texas A&M. They have outscored opponents 17-9, and they are led in scoring by Daniel Peralta (5g-0a=10p) and Diego Cabral (4g-1a=9p). Southern Nazarene owns an 0-7 record this year, with an 0-1 mark in the league. The team lost its conference opener to Fort Hays State by a 5-2 margin this past weekend. SNU is being outscored by opponents 26-6 through seven games this year, and the team is led in scoring by Hajime Chumpitaz (2g-1a=5p) and Javier Caballeros (1g-1a=3p). The top goalkeeper is Blake Anderson (0-7, 3.67 GAA, .527 S%).

LAST TIME OUT
Northeastern State played host to Harding University Sept. 15 and earned a 3-1 victory over the Bisons. The win was the first MIAA triumph in school history. Sophomore forward Juan Peralta scored the opening goal of the match in the 19th minute, and senior midfielder Bo White put home the game-winning goal in the 85th minute off a penalty kick. He added an insurance marker with six seconds remaining in the game. Senior goalkeeper Jordan Ladbrooke made two saves, allowed one goal and earned the win.

WHITE UP THE SCOREBOARD
Senior midfielder Bo White has been a scoring machine so far this season. He has put in seven goals through NSU's first five games in 2012, giving him a 1.4 goals per game average. That mark is third best in the nation. He also ranks fourth in the NCAA in total goals, 10th in the country in points per game (2.8) and 13th in total points (14). White leads the MIAA in six statistical categories. Those are total shots (27), shots per game (5.4), points (14), points per game (2.8), goals (7), and goals per game (1.4)

RIVERHAWKS BACK TO NO. 20 IN NATIONAL POLLS
Northeastern State received a national rank of No. 20 in the latest 2012 NSCAA/Continental Tire Polls released Sept. 18. The RiverHawks are the second-highest ranked team in the MIAA, sitting five spots behind No. 15 Fort Hays State. This is the third-straight week NSU has been nationally ranked. Northeastern State was ranked on three different occasions last year, reaching a season-best mark of No. 14 on Sept. 13. NSU was also ranked No. 15 (Oct. 4) and No. 19 (Sept. 27).
