ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 30-ranked NSU men's soccer team received a late goal from Henry Wildenborg to nip Maryville University 1-0 Sunday afternoon on the football turf at Parkway Central High School.

The game was moved off the Maryville campus due to rains over the last few days from Hurricane Isaac, but the change of venue did not disrupt the hot start to the 2012 campaign for the RiverHawks.

Wildenborg, a senior midfielder from Rogers, Ark., earned the game-winning marker as he put away a pass from sophomore forward Juan Peralta in the 86th minute.

Northeastern State (2-0) dominated for most of the contest, outshooting the Saints (0-2) 17-7 and earning eight corner kicks to just three for the home side.

Senior goalkeeper Jordan Ladbrooke secured the clean sheet after being forced to make a single save. He improved to 2-0 on the season, as well. James Hohenstein took the loss after allowing the lone marker and making five saves.

Senior midfielder Bo White led NSU with five shots, and Peralta was right behind with four attempts of his own.

The RiverHawks will stay on the road for two more contests, as the team will head to Hays, Kan., Sept. 7-9 for contests with Colorado Mesa and Sioux Falls. Kickoff for the match with the Mavericks is set for 3:30 p.m.
