TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – Northeastern State men's soccer defeats Truman State in a 4-0 shutout at DeLoache Field Friday Night. Senior Goalkeeper Jordan Ladbrooke tabbed for the win with his third shutout of the year.

The RiverHawks now 6-2-0 on the season outshot TSU 24 to 4. Truman falls to 4-3-1 on the year.

NSU's freshman forward Joel Mendoza scored on a rebound off a corner kick in the 34th minute to put Northeastern on the board 1-0. Sophomore forward Juan Peralta followed with a blast from 20 yards out to put NSU up 2-0 in the 35th minute of the first half.

Truman State battled with the RiverHawks in the second half but NSU prevailed with another goal from Mendoza on an assist from freshman forward Frank Garay in the 67th minute of play. Peralta scored the final goal of the night in the 81st minute on an assist from junior midfielder Juan Gonzalez.

This match marks Mendoza's second and third career goals and Peralta with his third and fourth goals of the season.

Senior goalkeeper Jordan Ladbrooke improves on the year 5-2-0 with two saves and no goals allowed. Nick Wallner is tabbed with the loss after playing one half and allowing two goals, he made one save.

Northeastern State will continue MIAA play at 1pm Sunday, September 30 against Upper Iowa at DeLoache Field in Tahlequah, Okla.
