NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH RANDY GIPSON
On the keys to the game…
“When we were able to get leads, (Central Missouri) answered by making great shots. They shot the three very well. We weren't able to get separation on them. We wore down a little bit at the end, and they were able to finish stronger than us.”

On Central Missouri closing the game on a 20-3 run…
“When we were able to get the lead out to six a couple times, (Quinnecia) Twine hit a couple of big three's. That helped them keep fighting. We just had some empty possessions and we missed some free throws. They came at us and made some plays. Give credit to Central Missouri.”

On what they can take away from the game…
“This is a tough environment to play in. I'm proud of our team. We competed very well tonight, and we gave ourselves a chance to win. We didn't shoot it as well from three as we need to, and (Central Missouri) did. That was the difference in the game. Scheme-wise, we gave ourselves a chance to win, we just couldn't quite get it done.”

On Taylor Lewis and Tosha Tyler combining for 36 points…
“We're proud to have them on our side. We feel like we have two of the top guards in the league. They're getting a taste for what it takes to compete in this conference, and they're only going to get better.”
