TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The No. 21-ranked Northeastern State men's soccer team earned a 0-0 draw with NCAA Division I Missouri State in a preseason friendly Sunday evening at DeLoache Field.
The match was the first of three exhibitions to kickofff the season for the RiverHawks, who are coming off a 16-3-2 campaign and an MIAA Championship season.
NSU's backline did not allow the Bears to attempt a shot on goal in regulation, and the visitors took just two shots on goal in the two overtime sessions. All 26 RiverHawks suited out saw playing time, with sophomore
Justin Todd leading the way at 77 minutes played. Senior

Aiden Wright (38') and freshman
Ricardo Perez (10') combined for the shutout in goal. Wright and Perez both saved one shot.
Northeastern State is now set to travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to meet the University of Tulsa at 1 p.m. Aug. 22. NSU will then head to Claremore, Oklahoma, for a final friendly against Rogers State at 7 p.m. Aug. 29. The season opener will be played at home against Truman State and will be at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 4.
