HAYS, Kan. – Northeastern State fell 1-0 in double overtime in a tightly contested MIAA match at #23 Fort Hays State on Friday night.
The Lady Tigers scored on the 103-minute of the match on the first shot in the second extra period by either team.Â
Shots in general were limited for both squads with FHSU making 14 and the RiverHawks attempting ten.  Only 11 total shots on goal were recorded on Friday with NSU making five shots, one fewer than the Lady Tigers. Northeastern State had four corner kicks to Fort Hays' one in the match.
Anastasia Robinson had a NSU high three shots and
Jordan Woodruff had five saves to bring her season total to 64.
Friday's loss will send the RiverHawks to 12-3 overall and 5-3 in the MIAA; Fort Hays State goes to 11-3-1 overall and 7-1 in league play.
Northeastern State will remain on the road to face Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday at 1 p.m.
