Â
NORTHEASTERN STATE 8, SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE 3Southeastern Oklahoma State jumped out to a 3-0 lead after the top of the third inning, but that would prove to be the only damage to the scoreboard the visitors would muster in the first game.

Â
Woods and seniors

NORTHEASTERN STATE COACH JAKE HENDRICKStatement…"This was a really great couple of team wins. Anytime you have Coach (Mike) Metheny and Southeastern on the schedule, you know you're in for a battle. There were a lot of great individual performances today, but more than that I was so proud of our bench. They were the difference on the day. When you play a doubleheader, it usually comes down to which team can stay engaged for two games, and I felt like we were there to see both games through to the end. That is a great trait that I hope we can continue as the season progresses. We will look for ways to get better between now and our next outing against Rogers State."
