TAHLEQUAH, OK- The Northeastern State men's soccer team defeated Oklahoma Baptist 2-0 on a very warm afternoon at Dr. Dan Deloach Field.
After an 0-3 start to the season, the RiverHawks have won three straight to even their record at 3-3. The Bison fall to 2-4-1.
The RiverHawks outshot OBU, 7- 4, in the first half but neither team was able to find the back of the net.
NSU's
Nikolai Solomon netted his first goal of the year as he was the recipient of a perfect corner cross from
Ben Watson to give the RiverHawks the 1-0 advantage.
Osvaldo Olmos collected his first tally as well five minutes later juking his defender for the all-important 2-0 lead.

Ryan Davis picked up his second shutout of the year, collecting four saves in the victory. NSU kept OBU keeper Jared Hill busy all game, firing off 18 shots to the Bison's 13.
Northeastern State will hit the road to start conference play this weekend. On September 23 the RiverHawks take on Lindenwood at 7:00 pm, then move on to Upper Iowa on September 25 for a 11:00 am match.
