Tony Duckworth announced Tuesday afternoon that head coach
Rob Robinson would not have his contract renewed.
Hired in December 2013 as the 19th head football coach in Northeastern State history, Robinson will continue to serve as head coach for the remainder of the 2018 season.
Duckworth will not have any further comments until the conclusion of the season.
A search for Northeastern State's next head football coach will begin in the near future.
Northeastern State University is a member of NCAA Division II and Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association (MIAA). The RiverHawks offer 10 varsity intercollegiate athletics programs: football; men's and women's basketball; men's and women's soccer; men's and women's golf; baseball; softball; and women's tennis.
