EDMOND – No. 20 Northeastern State continued its run in the MIAA beating No. 6 Central Oklahoma, 5-4, for the RiverHawks 42nd straight conference win on Sunday afternoon.
The win for NSU was their ninth in a row over its in-state rival and sends the RiverHawks to 10-4 overall and 4-0 in the MIAA.Â
Central Oklahoma (11-2, 4-1 MIAA) had the early advantage over Northeastern State winning on courts one and three in doubles.Â

Karla Tomaic left as NSU's lone win (8-5) on court two.Â
Trailing a point into singles, the RiverHawks hammered out wins in the bottom of its lineup.Â
Mayra Jovic continued her dominance at No. 3 singles winning 6-3, 6-3 to go to 12-0 this season. Â On the main court, No. 28 ranked
Tatjana Stoll won her third straight match over a ranked foe by besting No. 30 Alli Hodges 6-1, 6-4.
Northeastern State continues MIAA play this upcoming weekend with Washburn and Emporia State visiting Tahlequah. Â
