SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Northeastern State kicked off their season with a 3-1 win over Quincy in a non-conference tilt on Thursday evening with senior midfielder Joe Garcia netting four points. 

Newcomer Flynn Semmerling started the scoring for NSU off a pass from Garcia.  Trevor Reed returned to the field after nearly a year away with the team's second goal with Garcia netting his second assist of the night. 

Garcia closed out the scoring for the RiverHawks on a pass from Reed. 

At the time of the release, no official stats were posted from the neutral site contest.

The RiverHawks will return to action on Saturday with Drury (0-1) heading to Tahlequah for a 1 p.m. start.
