TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State's offense was limited to 190 yards in a 49-7 loss on Homecoming to Nebraska-Kearney. The Lopers ran the ball for 431 yards and scored all six of their touchdowns from the ground.  Freshman
Craig Davis had the RiverHawks' highlight on Saturday and the lone scoring play with a 94-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the second quarter. Davis carried the ball ten times and had 52 yards on the ground for NSU who falls to 0-5 overall and in MIAA play; Nebraska-Kearney with the win on Saturday climbs up to 3-2.

- Jake Pruitt made his first career start at quarterback for NSU and went 13-for-25 with 116 yards in the air.
- Ryheem Brummitt was the primary target on Saturday with eight receptions for 79 yards.
- Courtland Clark paced the NSU defense with 13 tackles, and he had one forced fumble recovery.
- Tyrel Bell in his first defensive start had eight tackles and one sack.
- The RiverHawks were limited to 60 yards on the ground, Pruitt was sacked five times for a loss of 34 yards.
PERFORMANCES TO HIGHLIGHT
- Davis' 94-yard run back for a touchdown on a kickoff was NSU's first since Sept. 24, 2011 where Joel Rockmore scored from 92-yards out against Panhandle State.
- Davis currently owns the longest run back for a touchdown in the MIAA this season and it is the second touchdown on a kickoff this season.
HISTORICALLY SPEAKING
Davis' touchdown was the third longest return on kickoff in Northeastern State's Division II history. Jim Stevens in 1939 against Emporia State is the All-Time program leader with a 102-yard kickoff return. Â
