TAHLEQUAH – Three members of the Northeastern State Men's Soccer team were named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Team, it was announced on Thursday. Defender Ben Watson, Midfielder Ryan McCully, and Forward Flynn Semmerling represented the RiverHawks on the District 7 First Team.
Watson scored five goals in 16 matches for the RiverHawks and played a team-high 1,453 minutes. The senior has landed five goals and was credited with two assists. Â
McCully started all 16 matches this year for NSU and was second behind Watson with 1434 minutes played.
Semmerling paced NSU with nine goals this season and has three game-winning shots in 16 starts.Â
Since 2013, NSU has had 13 named as CoSIDA All-District.
Nominating and Voting for this award is done by the District's Sports Information Directors.
The three will be on the CoSIDA Academic All-American ballot. Academic All-American honorees will be announced in early December.
