TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State women's basketball senior Bailee Eldred was named on Thursday to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-District VII Second Team, selected by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) for her work inside of the classroom. 

The Google Cloud Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The Google Cloud Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Eldred has led the RiverHawks in rebounding this season with 7.8 per game and is second in scoring with just over 12 points a game.  In her collegiate career between Murray State (Okla.) and NSU, the Sulphur, Okla. native has 1,009 points and 595 rebounds.  

In two seasons at Northeastern State, Eldred has nine double-double and has played in 51 contests.

To be eligible for the award, the student-athlete must contribute on the court, carry a 3.3 grade-point-average and be in at least the third semester of academics at their respective institution.
