GRAND ISLAND, Neb. – Northeastern State snapped a four-game skid on Sunday at bested Nebraska-Kearney 4-3 for their first MIAA win of the season.
The RiverHawks are 3-6 overall with the victory over UNK and 1-1 in the MIAA.
All four of NSU wins came in singles play as they downed the Lopers for the 11th consecutive time.
Freshman
Melissa Vera was the match-clinching point for NSU at six-singles with a 6-4, 6-3 win.

Tatjana Stoll took down #38 Valsilisa Polunova 7-5, 6-2. #43-ranked
Mayra Jovic is now 25-0 in the regular season with a 6-1, 7-6 win at two singles.
Senior
Karla Tomaic was the RiverHawks' fourth winning player with a 6-1, 6-2 victory at fours.
The loss drops the Lopers to 11-10 (0-4 MIAA) overall.
Northeastern State will return to action on Monday where they will face Fort Hays State on the road.
