#44 RiverHawks blow past Lions, 7-0

TAHLEQUAH -- #44-ranked Northeastern State made quick work of Lindenwood on Monday morning closing out their home finale with a 7-0 win.  

Traveling with only four players, NSU blew through the shorthanded Lions (0-15, 0-7 MIAA) in just under 90 minutes to close out the regular season with an 8-8 record and a 6-3 MIAA mark.

Doubles play was nearly a walkover with NSU only losing one game to the Lions between both active courts.  Kristela Vidnere and Betka Gombarova rolled with a 6-0 sweep in twos. 

Playing up 3-0 into singles after the RiverHawks won by a walkover on courts five and six.  Karla Tomaic clinched the match 6-0, default in fours in her final home match at NSU.  

#8-ranked Mayra Jovic finished her regular season career 31-1 at NSU with a 6-1, 6-0 victory in twos.  #15-ranked Tatjana Stoll won on the main court 6-1, 6-2. 

Northeastern State will await its seeding for the MIAA Tournament, which takes place on April 26-28 in Oklahoma City.
