KEARNEY, Neb. – Limited to five hits, Northeastern State fell in the first game of a doubleheader 3-1 at Nebraska-Kearney on Tuesday afternoon in MIAA action. 

Held without an extra-base hit the RiverHawks left six runners on with the loss to falling them to 20-14 (8-3 MIAA).

NSU's lone run tied the game in the second inning with the Lopers committing a throwing error to score Sierra Crick in from third. 

Nebraska-Kearney (9-16, 5-6 MIAA) pulled ahead a frame later on an RBI double and grabbed an insurance run in the sixth on a two-out homer. 

Gail Young (12-6) tossed her 17th complete game in the loss with two strikeouts.
