HAYS, Kan. -- The RiverHawks Men's Soccer team lost a 2-1 overtime contest on Thursday night to Fort Hays State. NSU is now 2-3 (0-1 GAC) this season.
It didn't take long for NSU to find the back of the net, as
Aaron Ugbah scored in just the third minute of the match to put them up 1-0. Fort Hays (2-3, 1-0 GAC) picked up the equalizer in the 20th minute, which stuck as the score until the 95th minute, where the Tigers netted the match-winner.
Matthew Corness,
Tom Singhgolden and
Sam Scarth led the RiverHawks with two shots each, with Corness having two shots on goal.
Justin Hinman recorded five saves in net for NSU.Â
NSU will continue GAC play on Saturday when they face Newman on the road. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. in Wichita, Kan.
