Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

RiverHawks tie Hillcats, 0-0

CLAREMORE, Okla. -- The RiverHawks Women's Soccer team battled Rogers State for 110 minutes on Sunday, but neither team had anything to show for it, with the match ending in a 0-0 draw. NSU is now 4-1-1 this season while Rogers State is now 3-2-1.

This is the first scoreless draw for NSU since Oct. 23, 2011 against East Central. 

Senior Mariah Nicolet led the RiverHawks with five shots and three shots on goal. Sophomore Livy Wagner added four shots, with two on goal while senior Emily Seiler had three shots and two on goal. As a team, NSU had 15 shots and eight shots on goal.

Junior Brennan Hockett was the star of the match for the RiverHawks, making nine saves, including some key saves in overtime to pick up her third shutout of the season. NSU had six corner kicks in the match.

The RiverHawks will wrap up nonconference play on Friday when they travel to Wichita, Kansas to face Newman. They will take on Central Oklahoma in their MIAA opener Sunday in Edmond, Okla. Their next apperance at DeLoache Field will be Oct. 4 against Central Missouri.
