ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --- Northeastern State picked up goals from
Myka Heimbach and
Sarah Rector in a 2-1 victory over Ouachita Baptist at Kluck Field here Thursday.
The RiverHawks are now 8-2 in season openers since 2010 and the victory marks the ninth straight win over the Tigers.
Ouachita Baptist took the early advantage with a goal at the 31:48 mark of the opening half. Â NSU found the equalizer off the foot of Heimbach just six minutes later to tie the match at 1-1.
The RiverHawks took the lead with just five minutes gone in the second half as Rector picked up her first goal of the year for a 2-1 advantage.

Northeastern State will open the 2019 home schedule this Saturday night as Northwestern Oklahoma visits DaLoache Field. Â Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
