SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The NSU Men's Soccer team lost their season opener on Friday evening 1-0 to Drury. NSU is now 0-1 this season.
NSU is now 22-15-1 all-time in season openers and 2-7 against Drury.
It was tied at halftime, with NSU leading 10-2 in shots, but Drury took the lead in the 50th minute and refused to relinquish it.
Aaron Ugbah recorded two shots on goal while
James Doyle and
Matthew Corness both had one shot on goal for the RiverHawks.
NSU now travels to Rolla, Mo. for a Sunday afternoon matchup with Missouri S&T. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
