TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- The RiverHawks continue their road trip throughout the month of December making a stop at Pitt State in search of their first win away from home.

Opening tip
  • Today's game in the second of four road contests for Northeastern State in the month of December.
  • There is a chance of a high scoring affair as each team allows opponents to score at high percentage clips; NSU 47.5, PSU 44.5.
  • At Missouri Southern 2019-20 starting point guard Maegan Lee made her season debut scoring 11 points and leading with three assists. The team will be without Zaria Collins for the third game in a row.
  • Both teams convert their chances at the free throw line. The RiverHawks have gotten to the line 29 more times than their opponents thus far in 2020-21.
  • NSU is forcing 15.8 turnovers per contest, the most under Bullock. It also has the most assists under Bullock on the young season.
  • The RiverHawks last won on the road January 24, 2019 over Lincoln.
  • Pittsburg State allows 25 percent fan capacity this season due to COVID-19 regulations. It is second in the league in home attendance.
The series with Pittsburg State
  • Northeastern State has dropped its last eight games in Pittsburg. 1997 was the last time an NSU team has beaten Pitt on their floor.
  • Interesting note: Angie Havens (Jeager), wife of NSU's men's basketball coach Ja Havens, played for the Lady Reds in the last win at Pitt.
  • NSU held a series edge over the Gorillas until 2013, where Pitt State has won the last ten contest against the RiverHawks.
  • In Tahlequah, NSU does have a 6-5 series edge.
  • As head coach at NSU, Bullock is 0-3 against Pitt State.
About the Gorillas
  • The Gorillas are led in scoring by juniors Kaylee DaMitz (14.8), a 2019-20 All-MIAA honoree, and Tristan Gegg (15.8).
  • Pitt State allows a -4.5 rebound margin on the season.
  • It is third in the conference pulling down 14.3 offensive rebounds per game.
  • It has allowed opponents to score 71.8 points per game on 44.5 percent while shooting 33.9 from the field and 23.9 from 3-point land itself.
  • The Gorillas are seeking their first home win of the season after falling to Rogers State Thursday. It was 11-4 at John Lance Arena last season.
  • It was picked to finish fourth in the preseason coaches poll as it returned three starters from the 2019-20 team which finished 13-6 in the MIAA.
Looking back
  • Northeastern State opened its season-long road swing at Missouri Southern Thursday falling 70-64 to the Lions.
  • The RiverHawks shot 32.8 percent from the floor and 23.8 from 3-point distance in Joplin.
  • At MOSO NSU only had nine available players and the leading senior duo of Shae Sanchez and Cenia Hayes fouled out.
  • The RiverHawks forced 24 Lions turnovers.
  • Northeastern State has scored 64 points in its past two games.
