EDMOND --
Addie Elbon went 3-4 on Friday night with four runs batted in as the RiverHawks opened the Edmond Regional Festival with a convincing 8-0 win over Colorado Christian in five innings.

How it Happened
NSU struck in the second when
Megan Green doubled to right-center field to score
Cat Rodman and
Jaeden Rosenquist. Green would score when Elbon doubled to left-center, giving NSU a 3-0 lead.
The fourth inning was a big one for NSU, as they used three hits to score three runs, including an RBI single from Elbon and a two-RBI single from
Sierra Crick that scored
Alyssia Crick and Elbon.
The final blow came in the top of the fifth when Elbon doubled to right-center, bringing in two runs and putting the Cougars in danger of losing via the 8-run rule.
Cat Rodman picked up a double play in the bottom of the inning to shut down the side and give NSU the win.

- Young picked up her second win of the season, pitching all five innings, allowing just one hit and recording five strikeouts. She has now has spun three one hitters at NSU.
- Elbon finished with four runs batted in, giving her a team-high seven on the season. Her .333 batting average is second to Green, who leads the team at .455.
