How it Happened
NSU struck in the second inning when Sierra Crick led off with a single down the left field line. She didn't have to wait long to score, as Jess Schuler doubled to right-center field, allowing Crick to come all the way around and score.

The RiverHawks picked up two more runs a couple batters later when Green singled to left field. Jaeden Rosenquist and Schuler both scored after the ball was misplayed by the left fielder, putting NSU up 3-0.

After the ThunderWolves scored a pair in the bottom of the inning, the RiverHawks piled on in the third, as Crick came up with her second hit of the game, this one a single to center field to score Addie Elbon and move Cat Rodman to third. After Crick stole second, Schuler singled to right field to clear the bases and put NSU up 6-2.

Coral Ash hit a sacrifice bunt to move the runners, then Rosenquist doubled down the left field line to score two more and put NSU up 8-2.

After the ThunderWolves put up four in the fourth, Addy Wolfe hit a leadoff single into left field. She would score when Green hit a sacrifice fly to center field to give NSU a 9-6 lead.

The RiverHawks poured on the runs in the top of the seventh, as Alyssia Crick walked to force in S. Crick and give NSU a three-run lead. After Rosenquist advanced on a fielder's choice, Green picked up two more RBI with a double down the right field line. The final run for NSU came on a catcher's interference call that allowed Green to come across the plate.
