DURANT – Northeastern State opened a two-match stretch this week with a 4-1 win at Southeastern Oklahoma Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Northeastern State swept all three courts in doubles for the second consecutive match for an early point on Southeastern.
Melissa Vera and
Vera Carvalho won a tiebreaker at twos to take their court 7-6(2).
In singles play,
Kristela Vidnere gave NSU its first point on court-3 winning 6-3, 6-1. Southeastern grabbed their lone point of the day with a win on court-2 before
Tatjana Stoll took the main court 6-4, 6-4, and newcomer Carvalho clinching the match in three-set on court-4.
BEYOND THE BOX
· First match for NSU in Durant since April 10, 2010, when both were members of the Lone Star Conference.
· Moves the RiverHawks to 26-0 all-time against Southeastern.
UP NEXT: The RiverHawks will return home to host Cameron at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The match will be played at Tahlequah High School.
