OKLAHOMA CITY – After beating Colorado-Pueblo in a slugfest, the RiverHawks needed a walk-off single from
Alyssia Crick to beat Colorado Colorado-Springs on Saturday night at the Edmond Regional Festival. It is the third consecutive win for the RiverHawks.

How it happened
The Mountain Lions drew first blood, as Brianna Santos hit a single to right field in the top of the second to score Solana Martinez.
Gail Young was able to escape when Saleen Quinonez struck out swinging.
The RiverHawks got on the board in the bottom of the inning when
Cat Rodman hit a one-out double down the left field line. After
Jaeden Rosenquist drew a walk and
Megan Green was retired,
Cameron Conrad ripped a single to right field to score Rodman and move Rosenquist to third.
Addie Elbon gave NSU the lead in the bottom of the fifth when she launched a home run to right field. UCCS didn't go down quietly, as Heller it a single up the middle to score Santos and tie the game. Once again, Young would record a clutch strikeout to end the inning.
In the bottom of the inning, Elbon was hit by a pitch with one out. After she stole second, A. Crick stepped up to the plate and ripped the game-winning single into right field.
Inside the Box Score
- The RiverHawks only had five hits in the game, led by Elbon, who went 1-2 with one RBI and a stolen base as well as two runs scored.
- Young threw her fourth complete game of the season. She led the MIAA in complete games last season with 28.
