HOW IT HAPPENED
The RiverHawks opened the match with an early edge and took doubles from Southern Arkansas with wins on courts one and two.
The Muleriders pulled ahead in singles with court wins on two, four, and three. #3-ranked Tatjana Stoll got NSU back within one with a three-set win over #39-ranked Joanna Nowakowska on the central court. Melissa Vera pulled NSU even at 3-3 with Southern Arkansas with a 6-4, 6-3 victory on 5s.
Focus turned to the lone remaining court at six, where SAU took the match 6-4, 7-6.
BEYOND THE BOX
- Despite the weather forecast of rain Sunday, the match was scheduled in the preseason to be played indoors in Tulsa.
