Opening Tip 
  • Cenia Hayes has now made 53 consecutive starts. The junior from Tahlequah leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game, which is eighth-most in the conference this season.
  • Shae Sanchez is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.8 points per game. The junior recorded her 1,000th career point on Feb. 8 against Rogers State.
  • As a team, the RiverHawks are shooting 74.8% from the free throw line, which is fifth-highest in the MIAA. Hayes is third in the conference, shooting 84.7% from the line.
  • NSU has the second-highest three point field goal defense in the conference, with opponents shooting 29.3% from behind the arc.
  • Four RiverHawks are shooting over 40% from the field, led by Morgan Hellyer, who is shooting 46.6%. Zaria Collins is shooting 43.5% from the field. 
  • Collins had a career day last time NSU played Emporia State, as she scored 18 points and pulled nine rebounds, both of which are new career highs.
The Series With Emporia State...
  • Emporia State has won four consecutive matchups with the RiverHawks. The last NSU win came on Feb. 22, 2018 when NSU picked up a 75-67 win inside the NSU Event Center.
  • The last time the RiverHawks beat the Lady Hornets in Emporia was Feb. 12, 2015 when NSU won 58-56.
  • Emporia State leads the all-time series 15-5 and are 7-2 against the RiverHawks in Emporia.
  • Head coach Fala Bullock is 1-5 against the Lady Hornets.
About the Lady Hornets
  • The Lady Hornets saw their five-game win streak snapped on Feb. 20 when they lost to Newman on a buzzer beater. They rebounded two days later to beat Central Oklahoma 74-66.
  • ESU is outscoring their opponents by 14.5 points this season, which is 31st-most in the nation and third-most in the MIAA.
  • The Lady Hornets are shooting 35.8% from behind the arc this season, which leads the MIAA and is 32nd-highest in the nation. Mollie Mounsey is second in the conference, shooting 41.4% from deep.
  • Jobe is second in the conference in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game. She is joined at the top by Mounsey, who is 10th in the conference, averaging 14.3 points per game.
  • Jessica Wayne recorded the only triple-double in the MIAA this season on Nov. 29 when she had 18 points, 11 rebounds and 11 steals in a 60-52 win over Washburn.
Looking Back
  • Cenia Hayes scored 27 points on Thursday in NSU's loss to Nebraska-Kearney, tying her career high. The RiverHawks kept the game close, but the Lopers outscored NSU 20-11 in the final quarter to avoid the upset.
  • On Saturday, they again came close to pulling an upset, this time against Fort Hays State, but the Tigers hit four straight free throws in the closing minutes to stave off the RiverHawks.
  • Maegan Lee led NSU against the Tigers, scoring 16 points and shooting 6-10 from the field. Hayes finished with nine points and seven rebounds with Morgan
  • Hellyer also pulling seven rebounds to go along with her five points.
