TAHLEQUAH – The RiverHawks banged out nine hits and took advantage of five Nebraska-Kearney errors to earn a run-rule 10-2 win in five innings on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After opening the NSU half of the first inning with two errors to put a pair of runners on, Sierra Crick hit a double to left in the 11th pitch of her at-bat to score one. NSU would leave two runners stranded after striking out in their final two at-bats.
The Lopers got the run back in the second with a solo homer that hit the left field scoreboard.
Northeastern State came back in the bottom half of the inning Megan Green hit her third triple of the season to plate a pair of runners. Addie Elbon scored one more with a single that went to left. The RiverHawks loaded the bases and got their fourth run of the inning on a Jess Schuler walk.
The scoring continued for NSU in the third with the Lopers self-inflicting themselves with a passed ball and error to plate two on the same play to go up 7-1.
In the fourth, the RiverHawks added three more to their lead batting through their lineup.
UNK added run in the fifth before the game ended on a line out.
