KANSAS CITY, Mo. – 66 Northeastern State freshman and newcomers garnered MIAA Academic Honor Roll recognition by earning a 3.0 GPA or higher, league officials announced in a press release.
Off that number, 39 boasted a GPA greater than a 3.5, with seven earning a perfect 4.0-grade point average to earn Academic Excellence status.
NSU football led the department with 18 student-athletes earned Honor Roll recognition from the association. Men's Soccer and Softball came in second with nine apiece, with Women's Basketball in third with seven, respectfully.
To be recognized on the Academic Honor Roll list, one must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of 3.00 or above at the certifying member institution. The individual must also have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
