ARKADELPHIA, Ark. --
Luan Lamas scored his third goal of the season as the RiverHawks shut out Ouachita Baptist 1-0 Saturday afternoon.
The win over the Tigers sends Northeastern State to 8-7 overall and 6-3 in the GAC/MIAA.
Lamas landed the match's lone goal in the 34th minute from 18 yards out on a pass from
Scott Woods.
Northeastern State controlled the tempo outshooting the Tigers 15-to-4 and in corners 6-to-1.
Lamas and
Sam Scarth both led the team with three shots on goal.
Brett Ekperuoh recorded this second consecutive shutout at goal and had four saves.
Ouachita Baptist falls to 2-9-2 and 2-6-1 in the GAC/MIAA with the loss.
Northeastern State will return home for the final time in the regular season to host Rogers State on Oct. 30 at 1 p.m.
