Opening tip
•  In the first meeting of the season, FHSU grabbed the lead and cruised to an 80-60 victory.
• The Tigers are the lone team to beat Nebraska-Kearney, which beat NSU by 19 Thursday night.
• Fort Hays State limits opponents to 58.8 points per game while NSU allows 70.3. Fort Hays also shoots the best percentage in the MIAA.
• Both teams play strong perimeter defense as FHSU holds opponents to 26.7 percent and NSU limits to 28.8 from 3-point range. The Tigers convert at a 34.7 percent clip during the current campaign while the RiverHawks shoot 27.9.
• Both teams take care of the ball and rank in the top-five of the MIAA in the assist-turnover ratio category.
• Northeastern State has three players who score in double figures; Collins (16.5), Hayes (15.7), Sanchez (10.3). Collins and Hayes rank in the top-10 of the MIAA. It also has two players who pull down five or more rebounds in Collins (7.0) and Hayes (6.1).
• The RiverHawks season is coming to a close. NSU has three games remaining and one home contest vs Rogers State. It is 4-5 at the Event Center in 2020-21.
• Saturday's meeting is one of seven MIAA contests. All 14 teams are in action. NSU is 3-6 on Saturday's this season. • NSU operates at 25 percent fan capacity in 2020-21.

Looking back
• NSU held a two-point advantage at halftime but No. 15 Nebraska-Kearney executed its MIAA-leading defense in the second half for a 77-57 victory in Tahlequah Thursday night.
• The RiverHawks battled back from an early 11-point deficit but could not find the answer in a second half that they were outscored 44-23.

The series with Fort Hays State
• Northeastern State has dropped the last 15 games in the series and has never won in Hays.
• The RiverHawks last won on Jan. 18, 2014, which was at home. • The teams first met in 1982 and then did not play for eachother for 30 seasons.

Fala Bullock is 0-7 vs. the Tigers.
• Hayes averages 10.1 points in her career to lead the RiverHawks. Collins averages 3.7 rebounds a game.
Tigers notes
• Fort Hays is second in the MIAA scoring 72.5 points per game and allows just 58.8, also second.
• Are led in scoring by Whitney Randall with 16.0 points per game. She is joined by Jaden Hobbs with 14.6. Hobbs leads the MIAA with 5.5 assists per game as well.
• Katie Wagner pulls down 7.1 rebounds per contest to the lead the Tigers.
• They are fresh off their 10th straight win beating Rogers State Thursday.

• The RiverHawks visit Newman Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in Wichita. NSU downed the Jets 60-46 won the first meeting of the season, the largest win this season for the RiverHawks.
