TAHLEQUAH -- A five-run fifth by Midland handled the RiverHawks in their home opener 14-8 on Friday morning.
Both teams cranked out four homers, but the Warriors scored theirs in bunches, plating ten runs in the first three innings. All of NSU's long-balls were solo blasts.Â
Alyssia Crick was 3-for-3 at the plate with two homers and a triple.
Rhomie Bradshaw and
Addie Elbon both went yard for the first time this season.
Midland out-hit the RiverHawks 13-to-10, with half of their runs coming unearned.Â
Jenna Chassie came out of the pen and with 4 1/3 innings.
Northeastern State falls to 3-4 this season and returns to play again at 3 p.m.
