Opening tip
• NSU is 3-6 at home this season while Washburn is 3-4 away from home. Under Bullock, NSU is 1-4 on Tuesday's and have not played a midweek game this season.
• Tuesday's meeting is one of two MIAA contests.
• Northeastern State has three players who score in double figures; Collins (17.7), Hayes (15.2), Sanchez (11.0). It also has two players who pull down five or more rebounds in Collins (6.5) and Hayes (6.1).
• The Ichabods make the trip to Tahlequah to make up the game originally scheduled for Jan. 2. It will be the first time the women's program has played the same team in back-to-back fashion since beating Texas A&M-Commerce on Feb. 3 and Feb. 6 of 2010.
• Northeastern State allows ten more points per game than Washburn; perfectly fitting into the scheme Saturday.
• Both teams play strong team offense combining for nearly 27 assists per game. In the first game, they were off pace and combined for 19.
• Washburn won the rebound battle Saturday but Northeastern State pulled down 14 offensive boards.
• If the game comes down to fouling, Hayes (88.9) and Bentley (92.9) each rank in the top four of the conference in free throw shooting. Both made all of their attempts Saturday. Washburn held a 14 attempt edge.
• NSU operates at 25 percent fan capacity in 2020-21.
Looking back
• NSU battled back from a 12-point deficit to five points late in the fourth quarter but could not close the gap in a 76-66 setback at Washburn Saturday.
• Both teams had slow offensive starts. In the second half, in which the RiverHawks shot 50.0 percent, the Ichabods kept pace scoring at a 51.9 percent clip. Hayes and Collins combined for 33 points after half.
• NSU had a 10-0 run in the third quarter to force a Washburn timeout but couldn't narrow the gap past two points.
• The Ichabods held a 19-12 advantage in points off turnovers, outrebounded the RiverHawks by eight and made 26 free throws.
• The RiverHawks bench only scored 11 points and Sanchez was cold in the second half due and fouled out.
The series with Washburn
• Northeastern State has dropped the last four games of the meetings. It's the longest winning streak for either team in the series.
• The RiverHawks last won in Topeka Jan. 1, 2018. They last won in Tahlequah Jan. 24, 2015.
• Northeastern State has never scored more than 62 vs Washburn in Tahlequah. • The teams first met in March 13, 2010.

Ichabod notes
• Are led by Hunter Bentley with 16.5 points per game which is seventh in the MIAA. Nuria Barrientos scores 11.3 points and pulls down 8.9 rebounds per game. Each play nearly the entire game.
• In the meeting Saturday Bentley went for 27 points and Barrientos has a double-double.
• Only has four upperclassmen and returned one starter from the 2019-20 team.
• Snapped a two-game losing streak Saturday.
• Scores 62.9 points per game but holds opponents to 60.9.
• Hold a +5.2 rebound margin and block 3.4 shots a game. Ranks third in MIAA with 38.8 rebounds per game.

Shae Sanchez is 14 points from 500 for her NSU career.
Maegan Lee is seven rebounds from 200.
Taking care of the ball
• The RiverHawks rank 22nd nationally in turnovers per game with 13.5. It's the fewest since 2016-17 (13.0). NSU is fifth in the MIAA.
Third quarter shooting, halftime regroup
• NSU has been hot coming out of the locker room after halftime in 2020-21. It is shooting 44.2 percent on the season in the third quarter.
Undersized? Big heart
• Sophomore
Zaria Collins has cemented herself on the top of opposing team scouting reports this season. She averages 17.7 points shooting 46.8 from the field and 6.5 rebounds. Collins stands 5-foot 9-inches, but goes to battle in the paint and as a result, leads the MIAA with 3.3 offensive rebounds per game, it's 46th nationally. In the three games she missed NSU is 0-3. She also ranks third in the MIAA playing 36.2 minutes per game which is fifth of all forwards nationally

Glancing ahead
The RiverHawks host No. 12 Nebraska-Kearney Thursday at 5:30 p.m. inside the NSU Event Center. The Lopers won the first meeting of the season 68-56 on Dec. 20, 2020.
