Vera Carvalho was NSU's lone point in a 6-1 loss Tuesday evening at Texas-Tyler.
Carvalho won court five for the RiverHawks 6-4, 6-1 for her second singles win of the season.
Chiara Carnelutti won her first set 6-3 on court four but lost her singles match in three sets.
The setback drops the RiverHawks to 2-3 on the season while Texas-Tyler improves to 7-2 overall.
Northeastern State will stick around the Tyler area and face the local junior college tomorrow at 10 a.m. The RiverHawks will have a tall order, facing the Apaches, ranked No. 1 in Junior College.
