TAHLEQUAH -- It took ten innings and three hours but the RiverHawks came out on top in a 12-11 battle with Drury Saturday afternoon.
After the RiverHawks (7-4) were two-outs from winning the Panthers rallied to take a 9-7 lead. Northeastern State came from behind twice in the seventh and eighth inning to keep the game alive. Â
Cat Rodman who came in late in the contest drove in the game-winning RBI in the tenth to cap a two-hit, three-RBI game.
Addy Wolfe homered, smashed three hits, and had a four-RBI game playing first for NSU.
Jaeden Rosenquist had three hits and homered.Â
Rhomie Bradshaw and
Addie Elbon both had two-hit games. Bradshaw swiped two bags to bring her season total to seven.Â
Throwing over 200 pitches,
Gail Young (6-2) tossed a complete game striking out ten batters.Â
Drury (4-4) hit three homers on NSU with the RiverHawks out-hitting the Panthers 15-to-13.
