PITTSBURG, Kan. -- Chloe Bohuslavicky had a four-RBI game, and Carly Kelley homered as Northeastern State held off Pitt State 9-7 Saturday to split the MIAA doubleheader. 

The RiverHawks were out-hit 13-to-7, but a big eight-run in the second was enough for them to move to 20-13-1 overall and 8-7-1 in the MIAA.

Bohuslavicky gave the RiverHawks a run on an RBI double in the opening frame before they rocked the Gorillas for eight runs in the second.   Northeastern State sent 12 batters up the plate and had five hits in the frame highlighted by a Bohuslavicky bases-clearing double. Kelley also homered in the inning. 

Pitt State would plate a pair of runners in the second before they hit an RBI single and then a grand slam to get back within two of NSU. 

In the sixth, the Gorillas threatened with two-on and one out but was left empty.

Jenna Chassie (5-5) earned the win and went 5 1/3 innings; Sydney Balderrama recorded the final five outs and picked up the save. 

Pitt State falls to 13-21 overall and 7-9 in the MIAA with the loss. 

Northeastern State will return home to host Rogers State for a conference doubleheader on Saturday, April 17.
