TAHLEQUAH – Northeastern State played just their fourth match in Tahlequah of the spring but fell to No. 4 Central Oklahoma, 6-1.

On the top doubles court, the pairing of Kristela VIdnere and
Maria Popova nearly upset the No. 3 ranked UCO pairing taking the match to a decisive tiebreaker after UCO clinched the doubles point.

In singles, the Bronchos (15-1, 7-0 in MIAA) quickly took the top two and No. 4 courts to hold an advantage.
NSU's
Melissa Vera put up a strong fight in the first set in the No. 3 flight but was unable to maintain it into the second set falling 7-6, 6-2.
Belinda Jayaprakash was NSU's lone point winning 6-4, 7-6 on court 5. Freshman
Sofia Lundgren was a late add to the lineup and kept her match on No. 6 close but suffered a 6-4, 7-5 setback.

The RiverHawks (8-7, 4-3 in MIAA) remain at home to host Missouri Western Friday to close the regular season. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the NSU Tennis Complex.
