TAHLEQUAH -- Northeastern State's four match winning streak came to a halt Friday with a 6-1 loss to Northwest Missouri.

Vera Carvalho was NSU's lone point win on the court and took a three set thriller on court-five 4-6, 6-2, 14-12.

Northeastern State took the top court 6-2 in doubles but the Bearcats would win 6-2 on court two and then by the same score on court three to take the early point. 

In singles, the Bearcats (6-3, 3-0 MIAA) won on courts three, two, and got the match win on court six. 

The RiverHawks (6-4, 2-1 MIAA) remain at home to host Washburn Saturday at 1 p.m.
