HAYS, Kan. — For the second consecutive day, Northeastern State's bats were shutout as Fort Hays State wrapped up a doubleheader sweep 2-0 Saturday.
Chloe Bohuslavicky had two of the RiverHawks' five hits with their starter,
Jenna Chassie (6-6), spinning a three-hitter.
Fort Hays scored the game's first run on a wild pitch with two outs in the third. In the sixth, it was a 0-2 pitch to lead off the inning that went over the left-field fence.
Two of NSU's five hits came in the sixth on a pair of two-out singles.
The loss drops NSU to 21-18-1 overall and 9-12-1 in the MIAA. Fort Hays State improves to 22-18 (15-7 MIAA).
The RiverHawks return home for their final regular-season contests and host Washburn this Friday and Emporia State Saturday for Senior Day.
