TAHLEQUAH -- Emporia State pulled away in the later frames and beat Northeastern State 4-2 in the first game of their MIAA doubleheader Saturday.
Chloe Bohuslavicky had a double and two of NSU's six hits as they fall to 22-20-1 and 10-14-1 in the MIAA.Â
The Hornets plated a run in the opening frame, and it took an RBI double from Bradshaw to tie the game in the third. Emporia State would pull ahead in the fourth, scoring a run on a sac fly, NSU would escape the inning with a fly ball out double play. Â
Alyssia Crick tied the game back up in the bottom half at 2-2 with a fielder's choice ground ball.Â
Emporia State (20-23, 10-15 MIAA) pulled ahead for the third time, hitting a leadoff solo homer to left field and added an insurance run in on their second sac fly of the game.Â
Gail Young (14-11) spun her 19th complete game of the season, with all four runs allowed being earned.
